• Kashan is an ancient city located on the road from Tehran to Isfahan in an arid area in close proximity to the desert Dasht-e-Kavir at about 1000 m above sea level. is a city rich in history and monuments, with a great tradition in carpet weaving. AlBedy at the time Safavid Kashan was renowned for the skill and sophistication of its weavers, so that once stood in this city a real laboratory for carpet weaving, which are attributable many polonaises. There followed a period of decline that lasted until the mid-nineteenth century. when the carpet weaving returned to its ancient splendor.
