• Yalameh rugs are woven in the south-western district of Chahar Mahal and are made by nomadic peoples of Turkish origin. Stylistically show ties both with Lori that with the Bakhtiari and finally with the Qashqai. The Yalameh are made entirely of wool and with good fineness of knotting. Furthermore, the yarns used for the pile are very soft and silky and then to give these rugs a considerable sheen. The colors are numerous and brilliant though sometimes there are also specimens with a predominance of dark tonalities. The most usual pattern provides columns of rhomboid medallions from the profiles crossed by motifs hooked (dyrnak). The field however is intensely decorated with motifs minutes as eight-pointed stars, rosettes, stylized figures of men and animals, similar to those found in carpets Qashqai and Abadeh. The Yalameh are produced in multiple formats from rugs to 300x200 cm through the lanes andsquare. Rarer formats beyond the 300x200 cm.
